Weekend Of Firsts

What a great weekend!! We are all sooo glad the sun is finally out and we can spend time outside hanging as a family. Like the title said, it was a weekend of firsts for Liam. Lets start with Friday, when he got his first haircut. We took him to Bre at Split Endz Salon who also does my hair, heck she does my whole family and a bunch of friends. Anyway, I was getting my hair done, so she said to just bring Liam on in and she would quickly cut his as well. He was so good! He held still and only fussed and gave her his mad look a couple of times. She did a great job, so all and all I think we escaped this first without too much trauma.

Josh had to work on Saturday so it was just Liam and I. I planned on getting some bookmarks made from Kinkos, and I also wanted to go and visit my Dad. So, I took Liam over to his house and Auntie Sarah was there as well. After I got there, I told them that they were going to have their first opportunity to watch Liam while I ran to Kinkos. Neither of them have watched him alone before, so it was another first for Liam. I was only gone like twenty minutes and he escaped unharmed and had fun with Grandpa and Sarah.
That night, Liam had his first date. Too young you say? When you are arranging a marriage, it is never too early to start. Liam's future wife was born to our friends Dave and Aleece almost two weeks ago. Her name is Lucy and she weighed exactly 7lbs 6oz and was 20 inches long just like Liam. They started the evening out with a nice walk around the neighborhood. Then had dinner at Hug Hes Cafe. Lucy wasn't an expensive date because she didn't eat anything and she was really easy to get along with because all she did was sleep. We all had a great time and we hope it's the first of many great times to be had with the Blakes.
Today, after our afternoon nap, we took a trip to the park. It was so much fun!! Liam loved the swings again as well as crawling around in the grass. It was nice to get some sun, hopefully all of us will sleep well tonight.

We had a great weekend and can't wait for many more just like this one!! Enjoy the pics!!

How funny... she's the only one I take my kid too (helps that she is my cousin!!). She did Kaestin's first haircut when he was 7 weeks old!! He looks too cute, and I love the scrunched nose smile!

I'm glad you only said good things about the date. We will try to talk Lucy into being more social on her next date.
