First out biggest joy has been having our new baby girl. Okay, she is not so new anymore she will be 3 months in 2 weeks and man does the time fly. She was born on December 15 and was perfect weighing 7 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long. We were so glad we had her and were home from the hospital before Christmas. Her name is Hadlee Mae Leatherow and she is such a cutie pie and a great baby, we just love her so much! She gives us big smiles and sleeps so good at night, usually waking up only once. Love her!
Liam is doing great and getting so big!! He will be 3 in May and is such a riot. He has been potty trained since before Hadlee came, I guess it was around November that he all of a sudden wanted to go in the potty and he hasn't looked back since. He has never had an accident and was such an easy kid to potty train. I hope Hadlee is just as easy! He talks up a storm and is the funniest kid ever! He has the sweetest personality and we can't get enough of him. He is such a great, loving big brother too. He is not jealous of Hadlee and always wants to kiss and hold her, he adores his baby sister. He is a polite kid with good manners and is such a joy to be around. He can count to 12 and can sing his ABCs. We registered him for preschool last month, he will be attending in the Fall and is so excited to go to "Miss Jamie's." What a fun age!
Josh is doing great as well. He is such a WONDERFUL Dad and Husband and we are so lucky to have him. He gets up and feeds Hadlee when she wakes up at night while I pump. Both my kids never took to breastfeeding, so I pump for 4 months so they can still get the good milk. Liam adores him and they love to wrestle and play baseball and anything else that has to do with sports. I think little miss Hadlee Mae has him wrapped around her finger already as well. We will celebrate our 6 year Wedding Anniversary this month so we are looking forward to getting out for that. He still works about 50-60 hours a week or so with being on-call and pretty much hates that, but what do ya do. At least he has a great job!
As for me, I am just enjoying being a Mom to my two wonderful kids. I go back to work next Tuesday and I am actually looking forward to it. I will still work just 2 days a week (12 hour shifts) which works out great. It will be nice to get out of the house and be around big people again, and I think the kids will like a break from me as well. It will be nice for Josh to have a taste of my everyday life, having both kids all day long too.
