Now, it wouldn't be a Leatherow family project without someone, or 2 some one's, getting hurt and having to make a trip to the Now Care and ER. The first accident was when our 16-year-old nephew Kyle fell through a hole in the old roof. He took a couple of layers of skin off, but seemed to be okay until his leg started to swell up a few days later. Eileen, his Mom, took him to the ER and they said it wasn't infected or anything, just irritated. The next injury came when Josh's brother Tom fell off the ladder from about 6 feet off the ground. He started to slip when he first started coming down off the roof , but managed to hang on until he couldn't hang on anymore. He pretty much fell against the house, getting some pretty harsh road rash along his arm, then fell onto the stairs. He walked away with the road rash and some painful breathing at first, but as the day went on he seemed to be doing a little better. Then, that night he heard a pop and lost feeling in his leg and couldn't even move. I don't know how in the heck he managed to get off the roof, but he did. The next day he went to the doc and they said he had just pulled some muscles. Sorry Tom and Kyle for those injuries, it's a good thing we have our homeowners insurance!!
Anyway, it was a long week and I actually almost got used to the constant pounding. Liam didn't mind either, he still slept in, and took his 2 hour naps like the good boy he is. I just want to say thanks again to my wonderful Family, Josh and I are very blessed to have such great brothers and nephews, who are such great examples to Liam as he grows. They really know how to serve others.
Enjoy some pics, sorry I haven't taken pics of the finished project yet, we are still waiting on new rain gutters.
